Aviemore is a small Scottish town situated in Cairngorm National Park in the Scottish Highlands. The town itself is well known for its ancient forest, isolated lochs, ski runs and mountain trails. The mesmerising views from atop its vast mountain ranges make it the ideal getaway location.
The Cairngorm Mountain offers one of the top skiing destinations in Scotland. Roughly a 20 minute drive from Lochan, the Cairngorm Ski Center offers runs for a wide variety of abilities, including ski lessons for the novice.
The Scottish ski season runs from Christmas through to April, however, snow is not necessarily guranteed during thses months.

Aviemore offers a wide range of water sports including: Sailing, Windsurfing, Kayaking and Canoeing. All of these activates are on offer at Loch Morlich, situated a 15 minute drive from the house.
Lochan is also placed mere walking distance of the 9 hole course at the MacDonald Spey valley Golf & Country Club. If you are interested in a more challenging round then you can also make use of the spectacular Spey Valley 18 hole Championship Course which is also situated within walking distance of the house. This championship course was recently voted one of the best courses in Scotland. Lochan offers an ideal location for a golfing holiday. For more information on other courses please see below:
